Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Dippod ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use dippod.com and app.dippod.com (the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to this policy.

We collect information you provide and data generated when you use the Service.
- Account and profile: name, email, profile image, locale, learning preferences, professional mode settings.
- Authentication and security: session tokens, login timestamps, IP address, device/browser information, OAuth identifiers.
- User content: pods, prompts, seeds, flashcards (beans), chat messages, and any text, images, or files you upload.
- Learning activity: review grades, response times, spaced-repetition schedules, and aggregated learning statistics.
- Billing and referrals: subscription status, Stripe customer/payment identifiers, App Store/Google Play purchase IDs, invitation codes, points, and referral records.
How we use information
- Provide and operate the Service (create pods/beans, sync data, schedule reviews).
- Generate AI content and chat responses based on your inputs.
- Personalize your experience (language, preferences, professional mode).
- Process payments, manage subscriptions, and enforce usage limits.
- Communicate with you about verification, support, and service updates.
- Protect the Service and prevent abuse (rate limits, security monitoring).
- Analyze usage in aggregate to improve features.
AI processing and uploads
To deliver AI features, we send relevant inputs (text, images, file attachments, and metadata) to our AI provider and may retrieve uploaded files from storage for processing.
AI outputs are stored in your account as pods, beans, or chat messages, and we track AI usage to enforce plan limits.
Sharing and disclosure
We share information only as needed to run the Service:
- AI processing providers (currently Google Gemini).
- Payment processors (Stripe; Apple App Store or Google Play when applicable).
- Email delivery (Resend) for verification and transactional messages.
- Cloudflare infrastructure providers (Workers, R2 object storage, KV, and database connectivity).
- Legal or safety requests, and business transfers.
We do not sell personal information
We do not sell your personal information or use it for third-party advertising.
Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and protect sessions. We also use local storage for onboarding flows (for example, invite codes).
Data retention
We retain information as long as needed to provide the Service and comply with legal obligations. You can request deletion by contacting support. Some records may be retained for security, billing, or compliance.
Your choices
- Update your profile, preferences, and language settings in the app.
- Choose what content to upload; avoid sharing sensitive data if you do not want it processed by AI.
- Opt out of non-essential emails; service or security emails may still be sent.
International transfers
We may process data in countries where our providers operate and use safeguards where required.
